Blood of the Earth

Fraya Vajda was raised in a castle of silk and stone, ward of a beloved king who treated her as his own. But when the monarch vanishes and his bitter son seizes power, Fraya is branded a traitor for the magic in her blood. Disfigured and cast into the streets, she loses everything—her name, her home, her pride. Yet whispers of rebellion stir the city, and the outcast sorceress must decide whether to risk her life for those who would burn her…or to fight for a new place in a world that wants her broken.

Whispers of rebellion swell into open defiance when a secret gathering in Justice Square erupts into massacre. Forced to watch blood spill on both sides, Fraya stands torn between the nobility she grew up with and the commoners who gave her a second chance at life. Will her power be enough to snuff out the conflict between the two, or fan the flame to an all out war between humans and sorcerers?

Is Fraya destined to be the kingdom's salvation…or its most feared traitor?

Holy. Moly. I finally sat down and read Blood of the Earth. Oh. My. Heck. It is freaking AMAZING. I've read a lot of books in my life, and I would easily put this in my top 5. Your writing is absolutely amazing—it legit took me to another world. I was so enthralled that I literally read it in 2 days—I couldn't put it down! I am so so impressed, I knew it would be good when you gave it to me, but it 1,000% surpassed all of my wildest expectations. Obviously you know you're an amazing writer, but let me just add onto all of the praise I'm sure you've already received for your book—it is phenomenal! I'm actively restraining myself so I don't go grab the second one right now and read it in one night.
The story is so unique, it's really refreshing! Sometimes I feel like I read the same story and the same characters, over and over again. This was completely fresh and new, and it wasn't predictable at all! I had to keep reading bc I had no idea what was going to happen next. It was amazing!
I finished blood of the earth. First of all, amazing. But the biggest thing I need to know is WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO READ THE SECOND BOOK?! When you told me about it at the Payson market it sounded interesting, but I had no idea it would be this good!
Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I just finished your book and absolutely loved it! Honestly, the end. I think you built the story up perfectly and that fight was amazing. Because, the anticipation is already killing me. Also, I have to say I'm so happy you included centaurs. I never see them in books other than the ones I wrote and narnia.
I absolutely loved this book. The world building was phenomenal. The author really knows how to set a scene. She has a serious talent for writing imagery. I also really loved the character development for Freya. I can see this easily becoming a comfort read for me and plenty of others. I can't wait for the next book!!!
I can't wait for the next one! It's captivating and exciting, with a great amount of twists and turns! I love the way the author is so descriptive I can picture myself there!
Different than other fantasy novels I've read. I appreciate this world's concept of magic and its effects on those who use it. The story is also interesting and I am excited to read more.
